An obsession with impression Perception of perfection The embodiment of an illusion You fear the thought of another rejection A fragile mind inside a glass temple Ironic for someone so judgmental One stone would make you shatter And trickle down the social ladder A crooked crown rests upon your head Past friendships are left for dead Befriended others to get to the top Just to have another name for you to drop Soon you’ll slip, and hard you’ll fall In the end You’ve lost it all Return to bridges that you have burned To find your well being is not their concern Now you sit in all your glory Stuck in social purgatory Trust is what you chose to abuse And friends are what you fucking lose You fucking lose
2.
In my desire to heal Every bump, every cut I feel Past events replay in my head Will they persist until the day that I'm dead? We wait for time to pass But time’s the one who gets the last laugh Another burning feeling in my gut And another night where my eyes don’t shut (The) ceiling resembles blank pages Been looking for help in all the wrong places Recite every detail night after night Yet there’s still no clear answer in sight (Of) when these feelings will go away (So) These sleepless nights are here to stay The strength of time has lost all appeal In disbelief that this wound will ever heal

Sometimes life’s like a never ending race That I can’t seem to win When I think that I’m finally ahead my luck starts to run thin Try my hardest to pick up the pace lately I can’t seem to pull my weight Further I stray from the finish line While the world leaves me behind Motivation is what I lack Everyday there’s another setback Searching for a purpose to carry on Negative thoughts have grown too strong Another day Another Night Lost another battle in this fight Just when I feel something in my heart Once again it falls apart And now it just feels like I’m Back at the start

Reflections 01:24
In a flash you disappeared without a trace Your body remains but I can’t recognize your face A burning fire has replaced your eyes Now stands two strangers lost in a sea full of sighs A thunderous storm begins to loom As glares crash in this cross crowded room I sit and reflect on the last time we spoke Those words on which I choke Jeopardized a friendship A bond once strong Over a matter of who’s right and who’s wrong Regretful decisions, actions misread Have led to words better left unsaid Crossed too many lines that were drawn in the sand Instead of taking a second to understand That It takes a moment for the air to clear To right my wrongs, My apology is sincere
5.
At any moment Your whole life can turn around I’ll be here Through your ups and downs Don’t feel discouraged About the problems you face You’ll get through it Just at your own pace Never be afraid to ask for help Who cares what others think Think about yourself All the strength that you need is Within yourself You need to stop living as if your life is on a shelf Gotta brush yourself off and take a deep breath Only Then you’ll realize there’s more to life than an early death I know it’s hard to push through But you need to break free Riddled with self hate and negativity I’ll stay by your side Like you did for me Without you in my life I don’t know where I would be
6.
Looked down upon for thinking different I rather not be a clone You don’t have to walk by my side I can walk on my fucking own What you have to offer Is worth less than you think Lack empathy Full of greed We are two minds out of sync Narcissistic tendencies Puts yourself above all Unable to sympathize with others Will eventually be your downfall What you have to offer Is worth less than you think Lack empathy Full of greed We are two minds out of sync

Innocent people die almost every day Just because they look a certain way Some are attacked over who they love And who they believe resides up above Fascist ideals turned (into) reality Is that what they meant by the land of the free? Color of skin Holds more weight than a degree Right here in the land of Hypocrisy Politicians try to determine a person's worth And question a woman’s choice to not give birth Police will strike you down for freedom of speech Yet terrorists with guns continue to walk these streets Open your eyes And take a look around It’s not hard to see What's going down (A nation) blinded by hate and full of bigotry You say “Why should I care, it doesn’t affect me” Well think Think about why you should fucking care Riot squads line the streets People can’t afford to eat Kids taken from families Mothers cry in agony Another person has been shot Will this violence ever stop? They don't care about you or me Just another day in the land of the free

Drown 02:04
Without warning the rain pours down Clouds darken this lively town The colorful sky has turned dark grey - Yet I’m the only one who sees it this way Water starts to fill my lungs I can’t catch my breath My body starts to panic In fear of what feels like death Lost sense of my surroundings I've forgotten how to speak White noise is all I hear Feet cemented in the street Try your hardest to run away You’ll soon realize there’s no escape The flood wall has been torn down In this Merciless Tide you just… Drown
